Davis Cup Finals Argentina vs Germany Match Preview & Prediction

-----

ARGENTINA

Argentina won their battle on all fronts against fellow South American Chile in their first Davis Cup match, with both Schwartzman and Guido Pella Diego dominated their singles matches to win in straight sets. Two singles win allowed the team to send Leonardo Mayer and Maximo Gonzalez in the doubles, with world number four doubles player Horacio Zeballos leave spare, and they also won their matches convincingly in straight sets.

GERMAN

Germany Davis Cup three times, including two who supported Boris Becker winning West Germany in 1988 and 1989, but have yet to win or displayed in a grand final since 1993. Without Alexander Zverev, who will play Roger Federer in an exhibition game in Mexico on the contrary, they seriously weakened but they have some interesting players. Jan-Lennard struff a threat hot-and-cold for most of the players on the tour, while Philipp Kohlschreiber has embarked on a steady decline down the ATP rankings with earnest but a seasoned veteran. German trump card (s), however, there may be multiple partnerships Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies, who reached last week's ATP Finals after winning Roland-Garros and reached the US Open semifinals.

Argentina vs Germany - Head to Head and Predictions

This is one of the most storied rivalry in the Davis Cup.

And it has been very one-sided as well, with Argentina holds an impressive 7-1 record.

This time, however, we can expect a much closer fight.

While Schwartzman is expected to win two more games wide open.

While Mies and Krawietz won a Major title this year, the couple was eliminated from the US Open semifinals by Zeballos.

Hard surfaces also have to play to support multiple Argentina, as Mies and Krawietz is a clay court specialist.

Seeing the big picture, Argentina appears to have a slight edge over their rivals in Europe.

Prediction: Argentina win.
