La Viola put an end to their four-game losing streak, but stretching their winless increased to six following a 1-1 draw versus league leaders Inter Milan. Vincenzo 'aeroplanino' Montella still charge thanks to Dusan Vlahovic is stunning injury-time equalizer and he is set to tackle his former club, AS Roma, on Friday.
With a record of win-draw-loss of 4-5-7, Fiorentina are 13th on the ladder, only four points clear of the relegation zone.
Florence-based outfit has two wins, three draws and three defeats at the Artemio Franchi, scoring 1.13 goals per game and conceded 1.25 return. They claimed just two points from four home games.
Franck Ribery is still out with an ankle injury and there are doubts over the fitness of this Federico Chiesa.
Roma moved into fourth place in the standings after a 3-1 win over lowly SPAL in the previous round. Paulo Fonseca side is in a rich vein of form, having won six of their eight league outings.
With 32 points to their name, they are four points away from archrivals Lazio and seven points behind the leading duo. They will be hoping to get some kind of revenge for the failure of last season in the Coppa Italia (1-7).
Rome logged four wins, three draws and one defeat in Serie A journey, an average of 1.38 goals netted per fight, while conceding 0.63.
Zappacosta, Cristante, Pastore and Santon is on the sidelines; Mirante, Smalling and Kluivert will be evaluated before the game.
Visiting side are in better shape at the moment and I can see the Giallorossi win this game, but I'll be more careful this time and pick them up at DNB market with a fantastic opportunity.
I am also going to take more than 1.5 goals in the second half as 75 percent of Fiorentina's goals have been scored after the break and Roma have scored 11 of their last 15 goals in the second part of the game.
