SPAL vs Genoa
Italy – Serie A
Date: Monday, 25 November 2019
Kick-off at 19:45 UK / 20:45 CET
Venue: Stadio Paolo Mazza (Ferrara).
SPAL
PAL coming off a 0-0 draw at Udinese in their previous match Serie A. They are struggling in attack and had only three shots on target as they continue to sink to the bottom of the table.
It may be only a third of the season gone but man's Leonardo Semplici deep relegation trouble after failing to win in their last five matches of Serie A. They are also among the lowest scorers in the topflight and has found the net just once in their last five games.
SPAL will be without defender Thiago Cionek and Nenad Tomovic, both suspended for Monday's game. Andrea Petagna was the top scorer for SPAL with just three goals and had to return to the starting lineup has made a second appearance in the Udinese half.
Predicted line-up (3-5-2): Berisha; Igor, Vicari, Felipe; Espeto, Murgia, Missiroli, Kurtic, Reca; Floccari, Petagna
Not available: Cionek (Suspended), Tomovic (Suspended), D'Alessandro (Hurt), price (Injured)
Doubtful: Espeto (Injured), Moncini (Injured)
GENOA
Genoa is also coming off a 0-0 draw when they meet Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo. They are more than fortunate to come away with a draw which has the second best in Naples with only one effort on target.
Thiago Motta's men have struggled this season and a trip to the SPAL with just one win in their last 10 games. Their main problem has been the lack of interest after failing to score more than one goal in nine of the last 10 Serie A their events.
Genoa scored problem will be compounded by the absence of striker Christian Kouame who are absent due to a knee injury. Goran Pandev and Andrea Pinamonti should feature in an attack by men only scored two goals each this season.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Radu; Ghiglione, Romero, Zapata, Criscito; Cassata, Schone, Lerager; Pandev, Pinamonti, Agudelo
Not available: Kouame (International duty), Favilli (Hurt), Sturaro (Injured)
doubtful:

SPAL vs Genoa: Predictions
While it is still relatively early in the season, SPAL seems to be facing another relegation contenders following their match with Udinese and Sampdoria before the international break.
Two wins, two draws and eight defeats surprising their place in the second-to-last in Serie A, but only one point from the first team over the line and, incidentally, their next rival, Genoa.
Semplici men have a chance to kill two birds with one stone, to end their five games without a win and out of the relegation zone in front of their own crowd. There amends to be made, especially by Petagna, who spent extra time penalty vs. Zebrette.
Cionek and Tomovic suspended; Rates, D'Alessandro and Strefezza out with an injury.
Genoa is one of the most unpredictable team in the league, especially since the arrival of their new manager, Thiago Motta. You just do not know which side will emerge Genoa, who outplayed Brescia or one that got beaten by Udinese at Luigi Ferraris.
While sitting in 17th place with 9 points, tied with their local rivals Sampdoria in the relegation zone, Il Grifone look forward to this game as the beginning of a somewhat more favorable patch of the game where they hope to start picking up points on a regular basis.
The game against Napoli is a good start, because they were evenly matched with the Azzurri at the Stadio San Paolo.
Sturaro, Saponara and Kouame injured. Apart from them, others are available for selection.
SPAL has a record of win-draw-loss at the Stadio Paolo Mazza 2-1-3. Gli Spallini an average of 1.17 goals per game on the ground, while conceding 1.50 per tie. But compared to the beginning of the season, it looks like they've tightened their defense after the defeat against Parma. Two goals conceded in the last three games, one at a dead end against Napoli and one in a really fortunate defeat vs. Sampdoria.
Il Grifone is, with the exception of SPAL, the worst guest team in the league. In six games, they have picked up just 2 points, an average of one goal per game. Defensively, no team has conceded more goals away from Genoa. They allow an abysmal 2.83 goals per game, which is almost a goal per game more than the 18/19. season.
It is always difficult to make predictions after the international break but from all I have seen, I am willing to go back SPAL, albeit with a safety net. Draw-no-bet for me.
Also, I'll take my chances Andrea Petagna to score anytime. Former Italy international scored all the goals this season at home and on defense as Genoa, he must enter the scoresheets again.
